The Imperial Players will be presenting an evening of two one act plays, with a two course supper at
The Crown Inn, School Lane, Chislehurst on Tues 26th and Wed 27th November.

Auditions will take place in the function room at The Crown on Thursday 5th September and Thursday 12th September at 7.30 pm

Checkmate –

Run Time Around 23 minutes. [Estimated!]

Synopsis A tense thriller. In this play a friendly game of chess between husband and wife becomes more of a game of cat and mouse. Michael likes to think he’s always one move ahead, but perhaps this time Amy has him in check.

Short one-act comedy (with snatches of song). Simple village hall committee-room set.


It is decision time for the Amdram society committee. The next show must be chosen tonight and after months of arguments and division, the task of making that choice has been handed to the chair, Richard, to make. But Richard’s announcement is not quite what everyone was expecting…
